Reparel sleeves are not compressive in nature. They should feel snug, yet comfortable—allowing for a full range of motion, while staying in place on the applied area. They tend to be so comfortable that many users report that they forget that they’re wearing the Reparel sleeve.
When inflammatory symptoms are present, such as heat or swelling, you may feel a cooling or tingling sensation when you first apply the Reparel sleeve. These sensations may develop due to increased circulation in the applied area.
Yes. The sleeve was specifically designed for overnight use. Actually, it is recommended. By wearing the Reparel sleeve at night, you capitalize on your body’s increased healing potential while fully at rest, and you counteract the natural reduction in circulation that occurs while sleeping.
No problem. If you feel that you have ordered the wrong size, please see our 14-day exchange policy.
Sometimes. Not all our sleeves are covered by private insurance. Our Knee Brace Undersleeve and Walking Boot Undersleeve may be covered when prescribed by a licensed physician in certain practice applications.
Usually, yes. When prescribed by your physician, please use HCPCS reference code A4467. If seeking reimbursement after purchasing directly from our website, please reference the same code (A4467).
Reparel is not a provider.
You can wash your Reparel sleeve in cold water and tumble dry on low. To extend the life of the sleeve, we recommend placing the sleeve in a delicate bag or pillowcase in the washer to prevent snags and other materials from clinging to the fabric.
No. Braces reduce movement to prevent severe injuries, especially in high impact sports. In contrast, Reparel sleeves advocate for increasing range of motion, which is shown to optimize the recovery and healing process.
If you find that you are in between sizes, determine the best fit for you by measuring 4 inches above your kneecap, and then follow the guidelines below:
Small vs. Medium
If you measure exactly at 15 inches and not sure which size to select. Take a second circumference measurement at four inches above the top of your patella (kneecap), and if the measurement is less than 16 inches, select the smaller of the two sizes.
Medium vs. Large
If you measure exactly at 17 inches and not sure which size to select. Take a second circumference measurement at four inches above the top of your patella (kneecap), and if the measurement is less than 19 inches, select the smaller of the two sizes.
Large vs. X-large
If you measure exactly at 19 inches and not sure which size to select. Take a second circumference measurement at four inches above the top of your patella (kneecap), and if the measurement is less than 22 inches, select the smaller of the two sizes.
Size straddling is specific to the knee (not all products).
With proper care, your Reparel sleeve should last years. See care instruction on how to improve the life of the product.
That is up to you. Many of our customers enjoy having a backup sleeve, especially when one is being washed. Plus, alternating between sleeves may extend the life of the product.
No. Reparel sleeves are only sold by prescription through a licensed physician or directly from us at Reparel.com.
